Headache Treatment

Headache or migraine is a type of disease with a variety of causes. Any type of headache requires appropriate treatment.

When experiencing recurrent headaches, it is important to check what the cause is. This can help identify what are the causes of headaches - eating, smoking or drinking alcohol, too much or too little sleep, lack of exercise, changing time, stress at work, family or stress personal, or alternative medicine with birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy. This way you will know how to control the pain.

Work with your doctor to find out what works best for you. Your doctor may recommend decongestant to reduce inflammation if sinusitis causes a headache. You may also be given an antibiotic if you have an infection; or a calming muscle for tension; antihistamines for allergies; and tranquilizers or anti-depressants for headaches related to psychiatric disorders.

Alternative treatments can help with different types of headaches. Acupuncture or acupressure can relax the body and relieve blood flow and energy. This will help to stimulate some parts of the head, neck, hands and feet. Professionals advise putting stress between the thumb and index finger.

Holistic treatment is said to be helpful in relieving headaches caused by stress due to poor health care. The following will help to release stresses in the body: drink tea from herbal medicine or herbal capsules such as mint tea and rosemary tea; cover with aromatherapy or use of aromatic oils; learn yoga exercises; do a shiatsu or reflexology massage, or massage yourself; and undergo hydrotherapy.

Here are some simple ways to get rid of headaches:

i) Lie comfortably in a quiet, dark room. Turn off the curtains, turn off the television and unplug the phone or turn off the cellphone. Relax the jaw as much as possible. Take a deep breath and breathe in the air while relaxing.

ii) suggest positive thinking - for example, a good view can ease the mind and the body.

iii) take a hot shower and let the rubbing of water flow into the stressful headache causing headaches.

iv) Massage the neck and neck.

v) Try to sleep soundly.

vi) listen to gentle music.

vii) avoid eating chocolates, sausages, deli meats, pates and dried meats; two fish or sardines, mussels, oysters and meat of delicate animals; salted cheese; butter and whole cream; olives, pikels, and other salted vegetables; lentis; onions, cabbage and chick peas.

viii) Also avoid drinking alcohol, especially beer, coffee, tea, cola drinks and milk chocolate.
